Kazakh culture in the world
Kazakhstan’s modern culture will be presented to the whole world once again. This year, domestic artists have prepared over 50 theatrical performances, concerts and art shows for international audiences. Masterpieces of the Kazakh art are already familiar to the spectators in Turkey, Belarus, India, Switzerland and South Korea. The project titled ‘Modern Kazakh Culture in the Global World’ helps to expand the scope and achieve new creative peaks.
ASEL AITKULOVA, SENIOR STAFF, KAZAKH MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND SPORTS:
- This program was presented to the audience at the end of last year in New York and Paris. The program featured an international conference; an exhibition of artworks and photographs, and performances by the country's leading performers.
Musicians have been considered as the vanguard of the Kazakh art. One of them is Yerzhan Kulibayev, a virtuoso violinist, winner of the first prizes at international competitions in Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Berlin and New York. Another gem of the Kazakh high art is Maria Mudryak, a world-famous opera singer from Pavlodar. Her performances are prescheduled up until 2020.
Astana Opera popularizes the Kazakh art abroad. Last year the ballet troupe of the theater had success in Oman’s capital Muscat. The troupe gave memorable performances at the invitation of the Royal Opera House in Muscat.
