Istanbul hosted an exhibition of artists of the Turkic-speaking countries. The 12 masters from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan met on the opening day. Authors showed the cultural characteristics, customs and traditions of the Kazakh people. Abdilkhan Tleuzhanov and Olga Eren represented the Kazakh art via their paintings. Visitors were introduced to landscapes and rich nature of Kazakhstan.
ABDILKHAN TLEUZHANOV, MEMBER OF ARTISTS’ UNION OF KAZAKHSTAN:
- At the exhibition, I presented a series of my paintings titled "Four Seasons" where I depicted the mountains of Alatau in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The Alatau Mountains are one of the most beautiful places in the world. My goal was to show them.
AIGUL OKUTAN, TATAR ARTIST:
- Paintings are presented in very different styles and techniques. The paintings of genres such as realism and a modern miniature as well as abstract works and very symbolic decorative works can be found. We expect that this will not be the last exhibition. Today is an opening day of the exhibition. Two weeks earlier, I was invited to the Istanbul Kultur University with this exhibition.
