ZIYADDIN GASSANOV, CHAIRMAN, WORLD ASSOCIATION OF AHISKA TURKS:
- The “Ahiska kyzlary” contest has become traditional for us. We held this contest four consecutive years in Almaty. Our goal is to demonstrate our ethnic culture and customs as well as the culture of the country where we live now. It is an honor for us to represent Kazakhstan in Baku.
SEVDA ISMAILOVA, CONTESTANT:
- I think that it is a unique experience for all the Ahiska girls because “Miss Ahiska” is gaining an international level. It is a good opportunity to learn about the cultures of other countries as well as to demonstrate the culture of our ancestors.
