Presentation of new book ‘Akhmet Baitursynov’s Orenburg Path’
‘Akhmet Baitursynov’s Orenburg Path’ monograph is a unique archival data about the Kazakh political and public figure, linguist, literary critic and turkologist. Associate professor at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University Tatyana Tugai wrote about Akhmet Baitursynov who published the first Kazakh newspaper and served as a people's education commissar during the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Based on the historical documents, the author tells about the enlightenment activities of Akhmet Baitursynov during his life in Orenburg. She presented the monograph at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow. The book was published owing to the initiative of the Baiterek Charitable Foundation. The monograph will be presented in the Kazakh language in the near future at the Forum of Turkic Studies in Warsaw.
