The Kazakh traditional dance ‘Kara Zhorga’ has earned the love of the local people in Kiev. Diplomats, students and members of the Kazakh diaspora organized a flash mob at the famous Golden Gate metro station in the capital of Ukraine. The Golden Gate is ranked as one of the world’s twenty most beautiful stations with daily passenger traffic of 20,000 people. The flash mob was organized to mark Nauryz and introduce the Ukrainians to the Kazakh folk culture, music and and dance.

- On the eve of our big Nauryz holiday, we gathered and organized a flash mob to show our culture and dances to the Ukrainians. We did this for the first time and we did it very well. All the people paid attention and recorded our performance.

- I saw the Kazakh dance for the first time which was very interesting to me and everything took place at the Golden Gate. Movements and costumes of the performers were very beautiful.
