Astana Opera hosted a solo concert of the famed piano virtuoso, Daniyar Yessimkhanov
Astana classical music lovers enjoyed piano music of various genres and eras. Astana Opera hosted a solo concert of the famed piano virtuoso, Daniyar Yessimkhanov. The musician, whose performances are well known not only in Kazakhstan, but abroad, has presented to the public an unusual program: in one evening he led the audience through various eras of classical music. Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8, Schumann’s Carnival of Vienna, Debussy’s Estampes, Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 2 – each of these compositions belongs to different genres and their performance requires special skills. But as the pianist says, the ability to adjust to the styles of different composers is not the most difficult part of the musician’s work. What’s more important is capturing the audience’s imagination with the performance and lead them to the world of art.
DANIYAR YESSIMKHANOV, PIANIST:
- I have been performing a lot in Kazakhstan beginning with 2,000s, for almost 20 years now. And I it is a great pleasure to admit that the number of people who come to the classical concerts is growing and what’s more important, the level of their perception is also growing both in Almaty and in Astana, as well as in the regions.
