Well-known ‘Nomad’ ethno-folklore ensemble performed in Baku
Well-known ‘Nomad’ ethno-folklore ensemble performed in Baku bringing the Kazakh ethnic musical motifs to the Azerbaijani spectators. The ensemble represented Kazakhstan at the Fifth International Mugham Festival and the national music competition. The audience was delighted by beauty of the Kazakh folk songs. Performers from 15 different countries staged the musical performance. In addition, as part of the festival, Baku hosted an international symposium where scientists and researchers discussed dialogue between cultures.

- We play folk ethnic instruments. We have been performing for more than five years and have been working for the Kazakh Concert. We brought our concept of mugam, our music.

- Along with globalization, the revival of cultural values is the strongest trend. They are a bit contradictory. We should preserve our cultural values because we want to survive as a nation. We took this path of preservation, promotion of our culture as well as enlightening our people about our culture.
