KOTARO FUKUMA, PIANIST, JAPAN:
- I performed a Kazakh folk song "Yapurai". I tried to play it in a way to convey various sound transformations. I was very worried at first, but when I played to the end and saw that the audience liked it. This work is similar to Japanese folk melodies and nostalgic moods, which is also close to our music.
"Japanese Autumn" festival is aimed at supporting talents and contributing to the strengthening of relations between the two countries. The event is attended by the most talented performers of folklore, jazz, classical music from Japan, as well as famous Kazakh artists. The festival has expanded its borders this year.
