Kazakh culture and traditions were presented in Colorful World Beijing international exhibition
Features of the Kazakh culture and traditions were presented in Colorful World Beijing international exhibition. Kazakhstan and other 23 different states have demonstrated dishes of national cuisine. Also guests of the Kazakh pavilion could get acquainted with traditional clothes of nomads and enjoy the unique sound of Kazakh instruments.
KAIRAT ABDRAKHMANOV, ADVISOR ON EDUCATION AND SCIENCE ISSUES, KAZAKH EMBASSY TO CHINA:
- The Embassy of Kazakhstan installed the pavilion in accordance with the plan of the inviting party. People get acquainted with the culture, science and tourist potential of our country.
JA HAIYAN, RESIDENT OF BEIJING:
- In Kazakhstan’s exhibition hall, I tasted delicious dishes of national cuisine and learned a lot about Kazakh people. I noticed that Kazakhs are very hospitable. For the first time I tried the dzhent and really enjoyed it.
Now residents of the South Korean city, Gwangju can get acquainted with Kazakh culture, admire elegant souvenirs and try national costumes. The center of Asian culture hosted a festival of the People of Central Asia. Children got acquainted with Kazakh fairy tales. The stories like "Aldar Kose" and "When does the New Year start?" have been translated from Kazakh into Korean, English and Russian. This is a joint project of the Ministries of Culture of the two countries. People can purchase books in stores or find them in one of South Korean libraries.
CHONG BONG SU, EXPERT, CENTER OF ASIAN CULTURE:
- Center of Asian Culture and the Ministry of Kazakhstan have translated "Aldar Kose". We translated it from Kazakh into Russian, English and Korean and published two of these tales. This year we received three Kazakh fairy tales. We will translate and we choose one of the fairy tales. We plan to publish again in Russian, English and Korean.
