International festival brought together over 200 participants
International festival brought together over 200 participants. Among them are university students from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Russia. They took part in archeological excavations and learnt about the history of the region. Young people saw the armor of warriors. The warrior’s helmet of the 15th century weighed about 3 kilograms. Kazakh archeologists presented new and unique artifacts.
TIMUR SMAGULOV, HEAD OF ARCHEOLOGICAL EXPEDITION:
- This monument dates back to the first millennium BC. It is a chain of tombstones and ancient sanctuaries. They stretched at the foot of these mountains.
DARYA PRIDCHENKO, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANT, OMSK:
- This is the Andronov burial ground dated to 3,500 BC. We found bones and ceramics. It is very interesting, there are bronze beads here. We have already assembled the necklace.
