NURZHAN TOISHI, FOUNDER, ALDASPAN BAND:
- We are very pleased. In general, we were worried that we won’t gain an audience in Astana on a weekday. It turned out that the audience was more than the average. People responded very well.
Guests of the international festival “The spirit of the Great Steppe” ethnoculture had the opportunity to dive into a nomadic culture and see with their own eyes the history of the Great Steppe’s people. This is a unique project where an open air colorful show took place near ancient burial mounds.
BAZARBEK ATYGAI, FESTIVAL AUTHOR:
- This year, the festival of ethno culture has added a new program. The ways how to tame and ride wild horses will be showcased. For this purpose, we specifically invited Tattimbet Kapuly from Eastern Kazakhstan. He and his students will show everything in their show program.
Pottery craftsmen, musicians, warriors in armor, golden eagles, archers, as well as chefs who cooked the best national dishes welcomed guests to the festival. Representatives of Hungary and Bulgaria were one of the participants.
BATYR BAGAIYN, GUEST FROM BULGARIA:
- We are from Bulgaria and there are 12 of us. This is the first time we’ve been to Kazakhstan. We want to get to know you and in return we want to introduce you with our history and culture. We have a full program. We and the guys will show how the ancient Bulgarians had fought. We will use swords and armor and will fight. Our girls will dance. We really hope that the audience will like it.
