FIERY PASSION HITS ASTANA OPERA STAGE
The fans of passionate and incendiary Argentine tango were pleased by the Kazakh performers. An unusual concert called "The Fiery Passion" was held in the chamber Hall of the Astana Opera Theater. The music program included masterpieces of composers from different schools, epochs and styles like Astor Piazzolla, Sergei Rakhmaninov, Dmitry Shostakovich, Rodion Shchedrin and Akhmet Zhubanov. The genuine masterpieces of love were performed by the Kazakh virtuosos like violinist Evgenia Kurmanayeva, pianist Gaukhar Tasbergenova, and cellist Yermek Kurmanayev.
GAUKHAR TASBERGENOVA, PIANIST:
- Art is a celebration, a conversation of souls. Today we want to present the piece of what we have prepared for our guests. It's a passion for music, an endless passion for music. I'm very lucky to work in this theater. First of all, this is expression of my passion for my work.
The artists had prepared the concert program for three months. The musicians admit that they wanted to adapt the classical masterpieces and it was necessary to change some arrangements completely.
YERMEK KURMANAYEV, CELLIST:
- We needed to fantasize a little bit. Perhaps, we needed to add some of our own sound, rhythm and some additional musical notes. We wanted to improvise a little. We used the main theme of Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango and added our love and passion on top of it.
The Fiery Passion concert filled the audience with unforgettable emotions. Moreover, the metropolitan public had an opportunity to experience the modern and unusual oeuvres of the talented performers.
