Ensemble "Sazgen sazy" gave a concert in Istanbul

Kazakhstan and Turkey are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. To mark the day, ‘Sazgen Sazy’ Kazakh folklore and ethnographic ensemble gave a concert in Istanbul, gathering a large number of Turkish fans, Kazakh diaspora living in Turkey and Kazakh students studying at the Turkish universities. The spectators could enjoy unique arrangements, performed on national instruments - dombra, kilkobyz, sazsyrnay, sybyzgy and zhetigen. From the stage, Turkish songs also sounded.

- The concert was successful. The spectators were pleased. Today we saw a lot of our compatriots. We tried to show them all the beauty and authenticity of the sound of the Kazakh dombra, kylkobyz, zhetigen and adyrn. We had thoroughly prepared Kazakh kuies and songs, as well as popular Turkish songs for this concert.

The Kazakh diaspora in Moscow also organized a cultural event. The creative project united the amateur musicians of different ages from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Buryatia, Bashkortostan, Kalmykia, Tatarstan, Tuva, Iran and other countries. The aim of the festival was to strengthen cultural ties between nations, to preserve the performing arts and traditions of these nations. The festival was organized by the Astana Foundation for Promotion of Friendship of Peoples and National Cultures, created by the representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in Moscow.

- I try to participate in such events, to showcase the Kazakh traditions and customs, to introduce people to our national musical instruments. I agree with the theses of the new article by Nursultan Nazarbayev. For spiritual renewal it is important to strengthen and be able to beautifully represent our original culture.

- The purpose of this project is to draw attention to the Kazakh national instruments. The project got broadened. We decided that not only our compatriots Kazakhs present their instruments, but also let the Bashkirs, Tatars, Uzbeks, Karakalpaks partake as well, so that they too can present their instruments.
