KAZAKH MUSICIANS PERFORM IN SLOVAKIA
Bratislava hosted a gala concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Slovakia. "Dauir" ethno-folklore ensemble and "Shabyt" orchestra performed at the stage of the local philharmonic. The concert featured well-known classical works and Kazakh national compositions, which instantly won the spectators’ hearts and received standing ovation.
PETER MARCHEK, MEMBER OF SLOVAKIAN PARLIAMENT:
- Kazakh national music is amazing and beautiful, something different from what we have. I was delighted to hear Kazakh songs and music. Well done! It was very beautiful!
OLGA NACHTMANNOVA, STATE SECRETARY, SLOVAKIA EDUCATION MINISTRY:
- Their performance was very professional. It can be seen that music is not just a profession for them but a lifestyle and creativity. They were performing without the notes. I have never seen that. The conductor wasn’t using the notes as well, he was sending powerful vibes. You see no one is leaving. I am impressed.
Slovak audience appreciated a wonderful combination of Kazakh dombra, zhetigen and shankobyz. Spectators said, the music let them imagine the boundless Kazakh steppes and plunge into the past of the nomads. Slovak artists also promised to perform in Kazakhstan. The famous national folklore ensemble "Archer" will perform in Astana during the expo. The team intends to present a rich program.
