International symposium dedicated to Khoja Akhmet Yassawi held in Istanbul
Istanbul hosted an international symposium dedicated to the life and work of the philosopher and scientist of the Turkic world Khoja Akhmed Yassawi. Leading turkologists have been making presentations during the three days. The lecturer of the Tashkent State University said that Diuani Hikmet (the Book of Wisdom) of Yassawi is introduced in the Uzbek education system to further study. Hittite University Professor Mehmet Evkuran referred to philosophical views of Akhmet Yassawi against public and religious radicalism. According to event organizers, scientists report will be published in a separate collection. The next meeting will be held in the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai in Almaty.

We shall note scientific, historical, educational and cultural significance of the symposium dedicated to the heritage of Yassawi. He is the father and the pride not only of the Kazakh people, but the entire Turkic world. We need to educate young people, instilling moral values contained in his edification and scientific works.

UNESCO announced 2016 the year of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi. It is a great occasion for us. Such events give us an opportunity to study in depth the valuable works of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi, who was a spiritual treasure and a great thinker of the Turkic world. Scientists and experts shared valuable information and opinions during the symposium. We plan to publish a book on the results of the symposium.
