Battle of Orbulak reenacted as theatrical performance

The historical legendary Orbulak battle is recreated in the Almaty region. The theatrical show dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, involved over 600 extras, 120 horses and 50 well-known stuntmen and actors of theater and cinema. Representation consisted of three episodes - Jungar invasions on peaceful villages, meetings of Kazakh Khans and Jungar huntayshi at their residences and the battle. As we know from history textbooks, the Orbulak battle is one of the most important battles in the Kazakh-Jungar war that took place in the 17th century, in the valley of the Orbulak River on the current territory of Almaty region.
