Battle of Orbulak to be reenacted as theatrical performance
The Battle of Orbulak will be reenacted as a theatrical performance in Taldykorgan city. The re-enactment of the Battle will be presented on October 2. The large-scale project involves 50 known Kazakh actors and stuntmen, over 600 extras and 120 horses. Theatrical show with the use of weapons of that time and pyrotechnics will be devoted to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate. Orbulak battle is one of the most important battles in the history of the Kazakh-Jungar war that took place in 1643 at the current territory of Almaty region. The program will include archery sports competitions, Kazakh wrestling, national “Kumalak” game, national food festival, and exhibition of artisans and a concert of ethnic music.

Such event will be held for the first time in Kazakhstan. We will have 500-600 participants; it will be a large battle. Previously, we had only 20 or 30 people involved. As in Hollywood movies, we will show a real 5D show, probably.
