Premiere of first historical cartoon ‘Kazakh Yeli’ held in Astana
The premiere of a historical cartoon was held in Astana. The animation unveiled the history of the Kazakh Khanate. The cartoon called Kazakh Yeli talks about the childhood and the period of growing of future Khans - Kerey and Zhanibek. The cartoon shows how the main characters learned to fight, learned sciences, and the difficulties they encountered on their way of creation of the Kazakh Khanate. Batyrkhan Daurenbekov is the director of the film who had a team of 60 people working on the film for a year. The 2D-and 3D-animation formats were used in production that made the motion picture colorful and also conveyed the beauty of the Kazakh steppes as well as the way of life of ancient cities - Syganak, Otyrar and Taraz. The cartoon will be released on DVD in Kazakhstan on May 19.

After watching this cartoon, children will learn two things: the history of the Kazakh Khanate and patriotism. Children will understand what love for their country is and will protect it. I think we conveyed this all in our cartoon.
