Kazakhstan and Ukraine discuss opportunities of investment cooperation
At an investment forum in Kyiv, Kazakhstan and Ukraine signed a number of memorandums of cooperation in mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals and agricultural fields. The parties discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sector. Representatives of Ukrainian business community were told about the favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan and presented interesting projects.
“Today we showed that there is a package solution for every industry. This means an investment contract, which gives both preferences when starting a business, and guarantees when working in Kazakhstan. If you are interested in specific figures, we watched teasers of projects where the cost of a project can be reduced by up to 30 percent if it is started in Kazakhstan,” said Birzhan Kaneshev, Deputy Chairperson of a national investment company.
Businesspeople of the two countries also generate interest in such promising areas for mutually beneficial partnership as food, light, chemical industries and the rapidly developing market of IT products.
“We are extremely interested in those benefits and opportunities that the Kazakh government provides for foreign investors. We are extremely interested in the experience of Kazakhstan in the creation and operation of an international investment center,” sahred Yevgeny Yenin, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister.
“The new market of IT field with no boundaries and where you can work very easily should not be underestimated. As far as I know, for example, in the Kyrgyz business, Ukrainian companies have taken a large role in the banking sector. In the Uzbek business, these are, first of all, programs for customer service, other banking programs. We may consider cooperation with Kazakh banks,” noted Denys Krasnikov, Vice President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
