Kazakhstan improves its indicators in annual WGI research program
Kazakhstan improved five out of six indicators in the World Bank Group’s annual Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) on such dimensions as control of corruption, government effectiveness, rule of law, regulatory quality, political stability as well as voice and accountability. According to the World Bank’s data, for the second year in a row the state has shown a rapid growth in the control of corruption indicator, increasing from 36 to 43.8 percent. The World Bank also highly appreciated the work of the Kazakh Government in strengthening government institutions, increasing their efficiency, transparency and predictability. The research demonstrated that the efficiency of the government’s work has improved due to an increase in indicators in the quality of the work of the state apparatus and stability in the political and economic course as well as the level of satisfaction of the population with the provision of basic public services.
