Academy of non-governmental organizations to be created in Kazakhstan
During the opening of 11th annual international conference “Insights into development: a view from within”, Chairperson of the Committee for Civil Society Affairs of Kazakh Ministry of Information and Social Development Madiyar Kozhakhmet announced that they plan to create an Academy of non-governmental organizations in Kazakhstan. He said that the project will be created to develop sustainable and competitive NGOs in the country.
“It is planned to take measures to professionalize non-governmental organizations. For the development of sustainable and competitive non-governmental organizations, it is planned to create a project called “Academy of NGOs”. We believe that the creation of the Academy will increase the competence of the leaders and employees of non-governmental organizations, create good conditions for the development of this sector,” he added.
“Asar” platforms of the trilateral NGO-business-state partnership will operate on a permanent basis to develop social innovations and business. Also, work is underway to revitalize the activities of rural non-governmental organizations, carried out by the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Social Development.
“In all regions, projects are being implemented to increase the potential of rural non-governmental organizations,” said Madiyar Kozhakhmet.
