Kazakhstan to develop additional measures to support business

The Government’s commission held a meeting chaired by Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin to address the order of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to extend quarantine measures and to prepare for the post-quarantine period.

The PM instructed to carry out systematic preparation within two weeks to restore those economic fields that have suspended their activities.

A set of measures must be worked out to support entrepreneurs of Kazakh Ministry of National Economy together with interested state bodies and the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

One of the measures of the state support will be a delay for small and medium-sized businesses on loan payments until October 1.

Also, Mamin instructed to approve sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the work of enterprises and, of course, ensure monitoring of observance with sanitary rules by citizens and businesspeople themselves.

The algorithm for lifting the work ban of an enterprise includes registration of entrepreneurs and admission of applications for the resumption of activities on the electronic platform “Info Kazakhstan”. After verification by a commission consisting of employees of the mayoral office, local healthcare service, regional chamber of entrepreneurs and representatives of the public, business entities will be issued electronic permits to resume activities.

Kazakh PM also instructed Ministry of Digital Development to introduce mobile applications on prevention and raising awareness of Kazakh citizens about coronavirus.
