Kazakhstan’s GDP growth amounts to 2.7% over 3 months
Kazakhstan’s GDP growth amounted to 2.7 percent from January to March, reported Kazakh Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov at the government’s meeting. He spoke about results and positive dynamic of social and economic development of the country over the first three months of this year.
“Investments in fixed assets grew by 5.1 percent. Annual inflation was 6.4 percent. There was a positive dynamic in basic areas of economy except of transport and accommodation and food services. Construction increased by 11.7 percent, communication services by 10.5 percent, industry by 5.8 percent and agriculture by 2.5 percent,” said Dalenov.
The minister added that manufacturing sector recorded 8.8 percent growth rate due to the increased development in industries such as pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering and the production of building materials.
