Over 900 Companies with German Capital Operate in Kazakhstan
German businesspeople are planning to invest US$2.4 billion in Kazakhstan’s economy. Experts said that the non-raw-materials sector of the country remains the most attractive for German entrepreneurs with 90% of investments allocated into this industry. The manufacturing industry, electricity generation as well as scientific and technical activities are less popular among the German investors.
“Kazakhstan is the most important partner in Central Asia. There are still many areas for expanding cooperation, including in economy, education and science. We are ready to share our experience,” said Member of German Bundestag, Axel Fischer.
To date, there are more than 900 companies with German capital operating in Kazakhstan. The business community noted that after Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s announcement in Berlin about special conditions for German investors, the interest in Kazakhstan is increasing.
“German businesspeople see Kazakhstan as a very attractive country for investments. The conditions offered for German entrepreneurs are very interesting. They increase the attractiveness of the country’s market. I can say that the interest in Kazakhstan is very high. I am sure that in the upcoming months we will have more joint projects,” said Regional Director of German Eastern Business Association, Eduard Kinsbruner.
