58 Projects will be Implemented in Zerenda Recreation Area

Zerenda recreation area in Akmola region is one of the attractive places for tourists. The area has the potential to become popular along with the legendary Burabai resort

A special roadmap has been developed for the dynamic development of the industry. As part of the roadmap, 58 projects worth 28 billion tenge will be implemented.

Nearly 30 tourist sites are located in the picturesque region with clean lakes and mountain ranges.

The necessary infrastructure will be accomplished through the implementation of a large-scale project.

A new road will be built from the recreation area to the Imantau and Aiyrtau tourist facilities in the North Kazakhstan region.

According to Deputy Governor of Akmola region, Marat Igali, 1.3 billion tenge was allocated from the Republican budget to expand internal roads and develop the infrastructure of Zerenda.

“If the road will be laid, the flow of Russian tourists will double,” he added.

The new project implies not only repair of roads but also other different programs to attract tourists.

At the moment, a number of routes have developed in Zerenda district.

For example, tourist routes to Auliye bulak water spring and Auliye Tas cave. Visiting these holy places, tourists can rest as well as do some sightseeing.

All tourist facilities are located along Zeren Lake. Last year approximately 300,000 people visited the facility.

Experts say that this year the number of tourists will increase.
