12 New Enterprises to Operate on SEZ Khorgos – Eastern Gate
12 new enterprises will be operational on the territory of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Khorgos – Eastern Gate.
Deputy chief executive officer of the SEZ Khorgos – Eastern Gate, Askar Yeshenkhanov said the enterprises are involved in processing of agricultural products and production of canned products such as jam.
“There is a company that is currently conducting two projects, which are the construction of a concrete plant and the construction of a technopark,” he said.
The SEZ Khorgos – Eastern Gate is a logistics center for the distribution of cargo on the New Silk Road between China and the European Union.
There is also another new project that will start on the territory of the SEZ, which is feed mills.
Spokesperson of the feed mills company, Igor Gabidullin said the mills are semi-mixed, designed for all species of animals.
“We can say with confidence that we have completely covered the needs of the Panfilov district of the Almaty region. We will have nearly 40% of the feed to be exported to China,” he said.
Approximately 80 new enterprises will start operating at the SEZ, ranging from processing chemicals and food to producing clothes and footwear.
