An industrial cluster is a joint Kazakh-Chinese project
An industrial cluster for the processing of agricultural products will be created in the next five years in the North Kazakhstan region. The cluster is a joint Kazakh-Chinese project. The first stage of establishing the plant for oil production has been completed.
This is called a crusher. This is colza. It crushes seeds and then sends to the barrels.
RUSTEM ZHANIBEKOV, ENGINEERING SPECIALIST:
- After being in the crushing machines, the raw material is put in the furnace. Then it is heated with steam inside the oven. I check the humidity. If the humidity level shows eight or more, then I do not add water.
This is the only enterprise that processes oilseeds in the region. Foreign investors have allocated seven billion tenge for its construction. This year, the plant has processed 100,000 tonnes of rapeseed, from which oil and oilcake have been obtained. Products are exported to China.
LU PEI RE, DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF PLANT:
- In the second stage, we plan to build meat processing plants. In the third stage, we plan to establish the production of agricultural products such as milk and honey. We plan to do all this until 2023.
In his state-of-the-nation address, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has set a goal to increase labor productivity and the export of processed agricultural products by 2.5 times by 2022. This year in the north of the country one million tonnes of oilseeds have been collected.
SEMBY MUKANSHARIPOV, GOVERNOR OF RURAL DISTRICT:
- Construction of the plant is very profitable for small farms. Previously, they did not know where to sell raw materials. Now they don't have to go anywhere. It is beneficial to hand over oilseeds here in their native land.
An opening of the new processing facilities will meet the needs of the region and increase the country’s export potential.
