Astana International Financial Center was presented to businessmen in London
Astana International Financial Center was presented to the financial experts and businessmen in London. Kazakh specialists provided information on the AIFC’s regulatory framework which is based on the best international practices. The center operates in accordance with the universal regulatory norms for the judiciary, financial and stock market operations.
HARRY KENNETH WOOLF, PRESIDENT, AIFC COURT:
- We are very excited because the Court of which I am in charge is making great progress, had a splendid new building in January and it will be open for business and meanwhile we are doing all the infrastructure to make it work well.
The meeting participants discussed the contribution made by judges and the International Arbitration Center on the establishment of the AIFC judicial system. Experts believe that the environment created by joint efforts will provide security guarantees for investors.

- Oh, I think it was fabulous. We had 200 people approximately in that room, half of whom who knew about Kazakhstan and did business there and half that didn’t know anything about Kazakhstan, but came to learn.
British business leaders learned about the results of AIFC’s first year of activities. Since the start of operations, the center launched trading on the Astana International Exchange. There are 100 companies registered at the AIFC and the figure is expected to grow.
