Kazakhstan and Hungary intend to expand partnership

Kazakhstan and Hungary intend to expand partnership. The countries see greater potential in expanding the cooperation. Hungarian representatives say that Astana is the main partner of Budapest among the Commonwealth of Independent States. The business elite of Hungary will visit Kazakhstan in upcoming months. Hungarian entrepreneurs can bring not only their achievements to Kazakhstan, but also explore Kazakhstan’s advanced business model. The parties intend to increase the volume of mutual investments. Priority sectors include agriculture. In addition, Budapest is interested in Kazakhstan’s transit potential.

 - We have developed a digital system that monitors not only dimensions of transport, but also monitors safety of cargo and route as well as controls customs payments. All this allows distancing from the shadow economy. Of course, we will be able to share these digital developments with our colleagues from Kazakhstan.

The two countries plan to expand not only trade and economic ties, but also cultural and educational. Budapest decided to increase the number of scholarships in Hungarian universities from 200 to 250 for Kazakh students.
