Kazakhstan is expanding its transit potential
Kazakhstan is expanding its transit potential. There is an increase in traffic on the Yiwu - Madrid railway which is the longest rail line in the world. The number of trains passing through the Republic’s territory has increased by 80%. 210 trains have crossed the country in the first nine months of this year. The number was announced by Deputy President of Chinese railway company, Fan Syudong. The 13,000 kilometres Yiwu-Madrid route was opened in 2014. The train operates twice a week service. Delivery of goods from Eastern China to the capital of Spain takes 17-18 days.

- Trains pass the long route between China and Europe through Kazakhstan, crossing Khorgos and Alashankou. During the first nine months of 2018, nearly 19,000 containers were transported. Thus, in comparison with the previous year, cargo turnover has increased by 80%. The trains run twice a week.
