Kazakhstan is ranked 59th in the Global Competitiveness Index

Kazakhstan is ranked 59th in the Global Competitiveness Index rankings among 140 countries. According to the annual report by the World Economic Forum, Kazakhstan has maintained its position since last year. Russia is leading among the CIS countries. Kazakhstan is ahead of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Brazil in the ranking. The country improved its results in 50 criteria such as product market, infrastructure, labor market, financial system, institutions and others. This year, the report assessed the countries using a new method. Experts focused on the development of digital technologies and innovations.

In the Infrastructure pillar, Kazakhstan is ranked first in the Electrification rate criteria. Kazakhstan reflected its competitive advantages in this ranking.
