Uzbekistan plans to cooperate with Kazakh investors in the engineering sector. Businessmen of the two countries discussed the cooperation at a business meeting in Tashkent. Earlier, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the chemical industry, metallurgy, oil and gas as well as light industry. Joint venture projects in these industries have been operating in both republics. Intensification of machine building is also being discussed. Car manufacturers, as well as auto and electrical equipment manufacturers from Uzbekistan, presented
on investment opportunities at the meeting. The industry’s potential is great. One of the companies of the republic’s automobile industry intends to implement 10 investment projects worth over US$290 million by 2021. Experts highlight that another attractive factor for a mutually beneficial partnership is the privileges granted to enterprises with foreign capital that will operate from this month in Uzbekistan.
