Electric cars manufacturing
A mass production of electric cars is to be launched at an assembling factory in Kazakhstan. The target market for the electric cars will be the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. According to the management of the company, there is a high demand for green technology. The factory is ready to manufacture up to 500 electric cars annually.
MIHAILS KVETNIS, MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
- We are studying the production of the first electric cars which will be certified by the customs union. It will be a serial production and sold throughout the customs union. In this regard, we are ahead of all the car factories on the territory of Eurasia.
SERGEI MOGILATOV, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR:
- Petrol stations are everywhere now. Electric stations are necessary for electric cars. Then, clients will be aware of the kind of problems he or she has, be it recharging, repairing or replacing the battery. Thus, the trend in sales of electric cars will evolve.
27 electric cars were tested in the last two years. The cars were ecologically friendly and affordable. For example, it only takes 40 kilowatts to charge the ‘green’ car, which is actually priced cheaper than gasoline ones.
OLEG KOMMISSAROV, HEAD, SMALL PARTS ASSEMBLY SHOP:
- The ecological viability of the cars is an advantage. We did small tests to check the charge for the length of one km. Compared to gasoline, the charge was 50 per cent cheaper.
A Chinese transnational corporation acts as a partner in the production of the environmentally friendly cars. The corporation provides the latest technology which would reduce the production cost of electric cars.
