Kazakhstan’s investment attractiveness
Kazakhstan is an attractive country for foreign investors. British entrepreneurs showed their interest in partnership with Kazakhstan at a seminar held in London. Representatives of Kazakh Invest and large domestic companies organized a presentation of investment opportunities in the Republic. The British businessmen are interested in projects related to infrastructure and agriculture.
SAPARBEK TUYAKBAYEV, CHAIRPERSON, KAZAKH INVEST:
- We negotiated with a large Irish meat processing company. We are also discussing an agreement in metallurgy. The most important area is the infrastructure projects in education, healthcare and IT.
The event participants were provided with detailed information on the business opportunities in Kazakhstan, legislative support and competitive advantages created for investors. Representatives of state bodies and businessmen in the United Kingdom said that they have many opportunities to cooperate with Kazakhstan, particularly in the education industry.
EMMA NICHOLSON, TRADE REPRESENTATIVE OF PRIME MINISTER OF UNITED KINGDOM IN KAZAKHSTAN:
- I’m excited by the many investment opportunities of Kazakhstan. All sorts of things are possible between our two nations including strengthening all important university relationships. Without higher education in the modern world young people can’t get very far.
MATTHEW ANDERSON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, TVET UK:
- We’ve been speaking with the Kazakh embassy in the UK and with the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan on raising significant funds for a number of education projects. There were a number of initiatives over the years around technical education with very good ideas.
The delegation of Kazakh Invest representatives and Kazakh companies visit in the United Kingdom continued with a series of bilateral talks with British partners. They discussed in detail on the prospects of implementing joint projects in Kazakhstan.
