"Goods from Kazakhstan" on the Russian market
Domestic food products can be found on the shelves of supermarkets in Russia. Supermarket chains of the Ural and Volga regions support the Kazakh producers. The Kazakh products are actively promoted in Chelyabinsk. Six months ago, an outlet named "Goods from Kazakhstan" was opened there. The Russian supermarkets now have sweets, sausages, pasta and dairy products. In total, there are more than 500 items. The Kazakh goods immediately gained popularity among local residents. This year, the organizers intend to increase the assortment.
ZOYA SOKOLOVA, RUSSIAN ENTREPRENEUR:
- "We will be happy to expand and we are looking for places, so we can have a network of such full-cycle shops.
TATYANA GELMEL, RESIDENT OF CHELYABINSK, RUSSIA:

Representatives of the Ural Economic Union decided to promote Kazakh food products and provide assistance to producers. To begin with, the Chelyabinsk public figures will be engaged in promoting goods in the Russian food retal chains.
OLEG VITKOVSKY, PRESIDENT, URALSK ECONOMIC UNION, RUSSIA:
- There is a network of shops in different regions. This is our ultimate goal. There is a warehouse where the products of each enterprise will be stored separately. Such warehouses should appear in the Ural, specifically, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk. Then we will expand.
A food retails chain featuring Kazakh goods will soon open, stretching from Moscow to Novosibirsk. This will be a joint venture, where the partners will have equal shares. According to the neighbors, the most important factor remains the desire of the Kazakh side. As a result of negotiations, only the 10 domestic companies producing meat delicacies, tea and confectionery products are ready to become the participants of this large-scale project.
