The export volumes from Kazakhstan to the neighboring state
Kazakhstan and Russia are expanding economic cooperation. The trade between the countries has increased by almost 30% amounting to more than $11 billion in nine months. The export volumes from Kazakhstan to the neighboring state are also growing. Among the companies actively conquering the Russian market is the Aktobe rail-beam plant. At present, this is the only enterprise in the whole territory of the EAEU manufacturing long-length heat-strengthened rails of the "R-65" standard. After reaching full capacity next year, the plant will produce 430 thousand tonnes of rolled products a year, including rails for high-speed lines. In nine months of this year, the enterprise produced more than 116 thousand tonnes of products worth over 31 billion tenge. Among the main consumers are companies from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.
Atyrau region is actively increasing cooperation with the border regions of the neighboring country. In 2017, the number of joint ventures in the region reached three hundred and fifty.

- Commodity turnover with Russia in January-September 2017 amounted to 13 billion 508.9 million U.S. dollars, which is 36.3% more than in the same period of 2016. Exports of goods amounted to 12 billion 229.5 million U.S. dollars, growth by 48.0%, imports - 1 billion 279.4 million U.S. dollars, a decrease in imports made up 77.9%.

Kazakhstan’s food industry enterprises also strengthen their positions in the Russian market. Export volumes of sweets, milk and macaroni made in Kazakhstan are growing.
