A German investor is planning to invest 84 million euros in the economy of the region. He will build a wind generators manufacturing plant in the industrial zone. They are to be supplied to the local market, as well as to Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan.

- The project is being financed. 21 million will be invested in the construction. 30 million will be invested next year, and then investments will grow up to 84 million. To be honest, the state provides good support: exemption from customs fees, from many types of taxes, granting property lease, there are many things to list.
The most promising investment projects were presented at the exhibition. Among them were the development of deposits of brown coal, titanium-zirconium ores in the Temir district, construction of mining and metallurgical complex, cement and electric steelmaking plants. One of the largest holdings of the United Arab Emirates became interested in investment cooperation.
MOHAMED AL TANNIR, DIRECTOR GENERAL, ‘AL MASAOOD’ GROUP OF COMPANIES:
- The reason we are coming over here is to explore Kazakhstan. What we have seen for the past two days actually there is a big potential for our services to be implemented over here.
Potential investors were presented with new technologies of EXPO 2017, which are being introduced at the Aktobe enterprises. The region authorities are hoping for long-term financing of projects in non-primary sectors of the economy and attracting new foreign investments in "green" projects.
SERIK AKHMETALIN, DIRECTOR, AKTOBE POLYETHYLENE PIPE PLANT:
- Having visited EXPO 2017, we use the experience of other countries like Germany and Australia. For example, installation of a gas turbine station will result in a three-fold decrease in costs. We are making the design and estimate documentation and hope to implement the project in 2-3 years.
The agreement on the construction of the nitrate and carbamide production plant and the expansion of pharmaceutical industry was signed at the forum. In addition, the cooperation with the Orenburg region will continue. The local producer signed a memorandum on the meat supply to Russia. The Aktobe canning plant is going to find new markets, too.
TATYANA MELNIKOVA, PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST:
- Canned foods are produced strictly according to GOST (the state standard or Russian national standard) which contain 87% of meat, 10% of fat, salt, pepper, bay leaves and onion. The canned foods are in demand in Russia. We are visiting all food fairs in Orenburg and Perm. Now we are trying to visit Ufa. Russians are ready to consume our canned foods.
Italy is interested in the cooperation with the region, too. Representatives of the Italian Embassy to Kazakhstan will open an office to expand bilateral ties in Aktobe.
