EAEU ministers discuss agro-industrial development ways
Moscow hosted a meeting of the Agriculture Ministers of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The ministers discussed the development prospects of the agro-industrial complexes of the EAEU member countries. The negotiations of this format were held for the first time. The participants discussed the establishment of the EAEU council to supervise policies in agriculture. The speakers highlighted the importance of developing exports of agricultural products. Moreover, the participants talked about veterinary and sanitary control and registration of medicinal veterinary products in the EAEU.

- Today we held a significant meeting at the EAEU. Five ministers agreed on the common agricultural policy. They discussed the topics pursued by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in promoting better integration in agriculture and reached a number of concrete positions for development of further relations and strengthening integration. We agreed to meet regularly. Ministers requested to create an appropriate council.
