Turkish investors are planning to invest $590 million in Kazakhstan’s economy. Kazakh Invest and the largest Turkish holdings signed the agreement. The agreements will let produce agricultural products, construction materials, engineering products, chemical industry, and mining equipment in all regions of Kazakhstan. Productions will be launched this year. Over the past five years, 18 projects with a total value of over $600 million have been successfully launched jointly with Turkish investors.
SEBAKHATTIN YYLDYZ, CHAIRMAN, TURKISH COMPANY:
- We are planning to implement three projects in Kazakhstan. They are the projects on production of ceramic tiles, construction of a gas power plant with a capacity of 270 megawatts and exploration of minerals. In general, we are planning to invest $350 million. After the completion of bureaucratic procedures, we will bring the equipment and start the implementation of the projects.
COOPERATION BETWEEN KAZAKHSTAN AND POLAND
Polish businessmen intend to invest in joint ventures. Polpharma has been implementing its investment program for more than six years in Kazakhstan. Chimpharm became a member of Polpharma Group in 2011. Kazakhstani Chimpharm is one of the leading pharmaceutical producers in Kazakhstan’s market. It produces more than 65% of medications made in Kazakhstan. It exports its products to Bulgaria, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

- We are opening tomorrow one more department which is for tablets, capsules, drage. Then we are looking for the next development probably in more complex products, oncology, biostimulators.
Along with active business cooperation, Kazakhstan and Poland are developing cultural ties. The premiere of the unique Polish project was held in Astana. Local spectators enjoyed a concert that unveiled the unique musical art of Poland.

- This is a very original project called ‘The Music of the Mountains’ and consists of masterpieces of outstanding Polish composers Karol Szymanowski, Henryk Gorécki, Wojciech Kilar. They are worldwide well-known by their achievements. There is a bit of Chopin as well performed by classical pianist by two quartets, classical quartet by jazz combo and a pop group.
