Atyrau region is building up economic cooperation with Great Britain
The Atyrau region is building up economic cooperation with Great Britain by attracting 40 billion tenge of investments and new projects. The region presented the production of a pipe plant. The project is implemented as part of a state program on diversification of production and development of industry. Thanks to the state program, the flanges, fittings, hardware and other components of pipeline valves will be produced in the Atyrau region under the Made in Kazakhstan brand.

- Working in Kazakhstan and encouraging British companies to invest in Kazakhstan is a great opportunity. The Kazakh government makes it very attractive for people to invest here. We are in partnership with the Kazakh government to encourage British companies to come here.
According to data, the economic relations between the region and the United Kingdom show a significant increase in trade turnover. The trade turnover has grown twice in the past five months of this year comparing to the same period of the last year and has made approximatelty US$123 million. Today the region has 126 enterprises with the participation of British capital. Experts claim this is not the limit.

- As part of the implementation of state programs for the development of the industry, we are planning to attract investments and to open new plants. By the end of the year, no less than three to four enterprises are expected. We plan to attract up to US$3 billion of foreign investment every year. We have big projects on the development of the petrochemical cluster like the production of polypropylene.
As part of the state program’s limitations, new enterprises will be launched till the end of this year in the Atyrau region.
