FIRST CONGRESS OF HONORARY CONSULS
Participants of the First Congress of Honorary Consuls in Astana discussed how to attract investments into Kazakhstan and promote domestic products to Western markets. The congress was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was devoted to the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic service of Kazakhstan. 47 honorary consuls from 31 countries took part in the meetings. Kazakh Foreign Ministry is simplifying entry into the republic for foreign nationals to increase Kazakhstan's investment attractiveness. In addition, Kazakhstan introduced preferential taxes and customs preferences for foreign businessmen, and continues creating other favorable conditions. The congress participants also noted that over the past 12 years, Kazakhstan has attracted about $245 billion of investments.

- After the EXPO, we will create the Astana International Financial Center. English will be the working language in the center; it will have special conditions for administering taxes and tax preferences. Special conditions are created for Astana to become a financial center in Central Asia.
There are ten special economic zones and more than 20 industrial zones with the most favorable doing business conditions in Kazakhstan. Experts say that Kazakhstan became an attractive platform for entering the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, China and Central Asia.
