In South Korea, presented the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a presentation about Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities. Domestic diplomats spoke about the transit potential of the country and responded to the questions of the experts. The scientists of South Korean research institutes were interested in the use of alternative energy sources. According to the concept of green economy transition, the Kazakh government strives to cover 50% of its electricity demand through renewable sources.

The South Korea State Road Transport Corporation is ready to invest in projects to develop Kazakhstan’s transport infrastructure. Representatives of the company have informed about it during negotiations with employees of Kazakhstan’s Embassy to South Korea. Diplomats demonstrated a smart transportation system. Camcorders which are installed along the road are used to monitor every kilometer of roads. The system automatically determines the type of vehicle, its speed and gives all the necessary information. By 2020, the state corporation plans to build new sections of roads to ensure a half-hour reach of a motorway from anywhere in the country.
