KAZAKHSTAN, MEXICO STRENGTHEN TRADE TIES
Kazakh Embassy to Mexico has proposed to create a working group made up of Kazakh and Mexican entrepreneurs. This fellowship will promote the goods of the two counties in the market. The idea about Kazakh-Mexican cooperation was brought up during the visit of Mexican businessmen to Kazakhstan. Mexican businessmen intend to export vegetables, fruits and meat to Kazakhstan’s market. Due to the lack of direct supplies, the goods from Mexico enter Kazakhstan with additional value. Kazakh-Mexican Business Council will help to price products sufficiently.
ADRIAN YELEMESSOV, KAZAKH AMBASSADOR TO MEXICO:
- Mexican avocado is a wonderful healthy product which is not popular amongst consumers here. I and my colleagues degusted the avocado sold in the local market and it tastes like soap. This is why for the purpose of the consumers’ interests I want the Mexicans to supply their products without brokers.
HEBERTO RIVERA, SPOKESMAN, MEXICAN BUSINESS DELEGATION:
- In order to minimize flight expenses we plan to deliver products with the help of two-way air communications. A Kazakh consumer can get products of high quality at affordable prices.
In the future, one of the largest Latin American countries considers feasibility of launching joint ventures and entering the Central Asian market. Meanwhile, direct flights from Mexico to Kazakhstan are set to start in September and in addition to this, supply of goods through Moscow is another option. Last year, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $66 million.
