Investment potential of Kazakhstan was presented in Kyrgyzstan
Kazakhstan's investment potential was presented in Kyrgyzstan at a joint business forum where Kazakhstan was represented by 30 companies from the food, construction material, pharmaceutical and chemical product industries. There are more than 500 companies with Kyrgyz capital operating in Kazakhstan, and about the same number of Kazakh enterprises in Kyrgyzstan.
MARAT SHARSHEKEYEV, PRESIDENT, KYRGYZ TRADE CHAMBER:
- This forum is more pragmatic, more specific in the relationship between businessmen than any other because people come prepared in advance and the cooperation is based on trust. Therefore, I think this forum is more efficient and useful for businessmen.
Kazakh National export and investment agency has been organizing such forums for several years. Every time it attracts a number of businessmen. This time, they offered to jointly enter the markets of the third world countries.
ASKAR ARYNOV, HEAD OF KAZNEX INVEST:
- Kazakhstan's industrialization is aimed at attracting foreign investors with their production, technologies and finances to the territory of our country in order to create new production facilities and export these products to the third markets. Therefore, today's event is primarily aimed at demonstrating the industrial potential of our country.
The Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan business forum resulted in conclusion of contracts worth almost $12 million. According to official data, the export of Kyrgyz food products to Kazakhstan increased by 27%. That's why experts suggested the entrepreneurs take advantage of the opportunities available in Kazakhstan's free economic zones to expand their businesses.
