WTO cuts 2016 World Trade growth forecast to 2.8%
World Trade Organization (WTO) predicts that the global trade will rise by 2.8% in 2016, just as in 2015. WTO economists expect the global trade growth to rise by 3.6% in 2017, well below the yearly average of 5% since 1990. According to the WTO estimates, developed countries will see increased export volume by 2.6% in 2015, as developing countries will see growth by 2.7%. Imports will grow by 4.5% in developed countries, and by 0.2% in emerging economies.
