The volume of retail trade in February showed a record growth of 19.8% over the same period of the previous year. In 2015, the maximum growth of 8.7% was registered in December. Record growth was due to reduced sales in February 2015. Then, a sharp decrease in economic activities took place amid the backdrop of falling oil prices. In February this year, on the contrary, the external economic situation improved, and the tenge exchange rate strengthened, which gave a significant acceleration in the annual growth of retail sales.
