IMF urges Nigeria to devalue naira

The International Monetary Fund experts have recommended the authorities of Nigeria to undertake a series of measures to stabilize the economic situation in the country due to low oil prices, including abandoning the deterrence of exchange rate of the Nigerian naira and other restrictions at the foreign exchange market. The IMF analysts pointed out the complex situation in Nigeria and advised the authorities to refuse further containment of weakening the naira rate.
