EU to adopt first cybersecurity law
The European Union will adopt the first law on cyber security, according to which Google, Amazon and other Internet companies will have to report on attacks on their systems. Otherwise, they will face a fine, media reports. The EU has also identified areas where information security (IS) must be improved. In particular, we are talking about companies that create and maintain the infrastructure in the energy, transport, health and in the banking sector. It is reported that the new law will help to strengthen user confidence in online services, especially international. The law will not apply to social networks.
