- The task of the new cluster, which goes under the name of Almaty-Tech-Garden, is to unite all the scientific and technical resources of Almaty. To help universities, research institutes to consolidate the intellectual potential and direct projects into the Park of innovative technologies.

In addition, it is planned to attract in the Park of Innovative Technologies a number of multinational companies on the terms of joint scientific and technical work. Currently, agreements have been reached with companies operating in the mining and metallurgical industry and so-called "smart environment" in the sphere of information technologies.

Sanzhar KETTEBEKOV, DIRECTOR GENERAL, AUTONOMOUS CLUSTER FUND ‘PARK OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES’:
- What for do we attract foreign companies? Naturally, we expect that the majority of companies will be domestic. Multinational companies in our opinion should be the anchor part for creation of environment, where small and medium businesses are concentrated. And we call such an approach as a technology platform.

Another focus will be to attract companies offering new ideas in the field of agriculture. The most successful business projects will receive the opportunity to obtain financing abroad.
