On the 25th of October, 2002, the first national satellite channel named Caspionet was launched in Kazakhstan. Only a few states among the post-Soviet countries could afford this back then. «Khabar» Agency launched a round-the-clock channel, which was the first in the country to broadcast in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
